The Art of Diane Cutter Linocuts Latin America |
|||||
|
Done in graphically bold black and white linoleum block prints, these two linocuts are part of an exploration of everyday occurances in the Caribbean and the rest of Latin America. In the mountain countryside of Puerto Rico a lot of everyday life happens on the front porch: preparing the daily meal is not uncommon. Likewise, the ice cream vendor is universally the 'pied piper' of Latin school children. These are some of my 'recuerdos' of a simpler Latin campesino, or jibaro, life that is slowly losing ground to a more modern world. All
All my linocuts are hand-pulled and signed by me. These printed
image measures 6.5"X8.5" and are pulled on quality 100% rag paper. This series of 'Vida Cotidiana' ('Daily
Life') is limited to an edition of 25 prints. All come with generous borders and archival packaging. These and
others of my linocuts may be purchased through my Etsy store: DCutter. Please visit and browse. If interested in being updated
on new additions to the series, please email me so that I can put you on my mailing list. |
